I have been a qualified Teacher for over 27 years working predominantly within the area of Special Educational Needs for the last 15 Years, and I am passionate about ensuring all students are given the right opportunity to achieve their full potential.  Having taught in the classroom environment, as well as small group support, and on a one-to-one basis, I have a deep understanding of the Education System as well as a wealth of knowledge teaching students with varying needs.   

Being an experienced Dyslexia Assessor and Teacher, who has worked with numerous students with learning difficulties, I am perfectly placed to be able to advise SENDCO's, teachers and parents following assessments on the best ways to develop an individual's learning. The professional expertise I have gained over two decades means I understand the learning barriers individuals may face, as well as the challenges they might encounter as a result - this in turn enables me to fully understand what is needed to support better progress by suggesting strategies that will help individuals attain their learning goals. My experience extends from primary school pupils through to university students, covering the age range of 7 to 24.

As a qualified assessor for dyslexia I hold a current British Dyslexia Association (BDA) practising certificate and provide full diagnostic reports which meet DSA requirements. In addition to assessing I can provide students with study skills support and assist with guiding them successfully through their University courses.
